Many couples and families choose to travel over the holidays. Escaping the cold for a sunny beach has its advantages. The top holiday destinations this year come as no surprise; they have been long-time favorites.

Mexico tops the list with three beautiful destinations to choose from; Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and San Jose del Cabo. Each destination offers the lure of sun and sand. There are many resort options to choose from and lots of fun activities. If ocean swimming is at the top of your wish list, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta are the best options. Cabo has some of the most beautiful beaches, but many are not swimmable.
