Destination Wedding Planning Tips

Planning a destination wedding takes a lot of time and is stressful if you are trying to do it all on your own. Here are my top 3 destination wedding planning tips to help make the process much easier.

Know before you go – the requirements for a legal wedding to take place in your chosen destination. If you just want a symbolic ceremony performed it will save you time, money & a lot of extra work.

Tiered wedding package inclusions are for a certain number of guests only and each additional guest will cost you more. Package enhancements such as larger wedding bouquets, upgraded photo services and special wedding decor will add to your cost.

Hire a professional wedding planner – trying to get information from onsite wedding coordinators can be like pulling teeth sometimes. Most onsite coordinators will not begin finalizing your plans until 3 months before your wedding date; why wait when you can have everything completed much sooner? It is an additional investment to make, but you will have peace of mind, and does not cost as much as you think.

Lucky n Love Travel will take care of all of your group travel arrangements and help you choose the perfect resort, and my partners at Riviera Reflections Weddings & Events will help you coordinate and plan the perfect wedding day in Cancun and the Riviera Maya of Mexico.

Why Use A Travel Advisor?

There are many reasons why working with a travel advisor is a bonus, and will help you plan a better overall travel experience. Many of our clients initially ask us the question, “why use a travel advisor?” Here are just a few of the reasons that we share with our clients and how they will benefit you.

how can a travel advisor help me

It’s All About You – We listen to you and ask questions to get to know what your dreams and interests are so we can customize your travel experience. For example, you love cooking and will be visiting Italy; how about taking a local cooking class in Tuscany where you will prepare your own 3 course dinner? It can be included in your customized vacation package.

Practice What We Preach – We are very well-traveled and we share our first hand insights with you.

We Work For You – We are your advocate and work hard to get you the best price possible.

If Time Is Money, Think Of Us As Your Asset Manager. You can’t hit a redo button on a vacation and your time is one of the most precious assets.

We Know The Value Of Your Vacation Time– and help you protect your travel investment. Accidents can happen, travel delays and trip interruptions can occur, which is why we recommend purchasing travel insurance that can be included in your vacation package.
