5 Simple destination wedding decorating tips that will save you money & personalize your wedding

  1.  Draw inspiration from your geographic location, or the type of music you like to listen to. Example, if you live in an area that is country, or if you really like country music, you can ask your guests attending your destination wedding to wear or bring with them cowboy boots and/or a cowboy hat. You can then use these items as the ‘vessel’ for your table centerpieces.
  2. The destination itself can offer ‘free’ items for inspiration & you can enlist the help of family & guests and have them involved in the decorating process. A beach location offers a perfect setting for gathering seashells to place in candle holders for enhancing that beach feel, and after your wedding the shells can be returned back to where you gathered them from. Recycled & reused with no waste
  3. When selecting flowers for your ceremony and reception, choose ones that are local to the destination. This will save you money.
  4. What is your color scheme? Ask the ladies attending to bring a sheer scarf in your primary color. These can then be used as an overlay on your tables, or fashioned together as a table runner.
  5. Ask each guest to bring a small votive candle, these can be used to decorate your tables and provide the ambiance you are looking for.

To begin the planning process for a destination wedding is not unlike planning for a traditional wedding. The earlier you start the process, the more options there are available regarding the destination, resort, ceremony location, etc. There are so many options to consider for the wedding location. You can choose from numerous resorts that offer beach, garden and rooftop venues. If you want something more private, there are villas and private locations available. I will offer my professional recommendations to guide you in making the best choices for your wedding away.

travel memories

If you are shopping on price alone; how bad does a cheap trip have to be for it not to have been worth taking?

There are too many stories of the ‘great’ online travel deals, with a horrible ending! You book what appears to be the perfect resort, only to arrive and it is nothing like it was described to be. Everything you see on the internet is true, right?

I have personally visited the destinations and resorts that I recommend; I go, so you will know. Each destination and resort offer something different, and are not a “one size fits all.”

What is on your wish list? Are you in search or adventure? Looking for the most romantic spot? Want to go off the beaten path?

As your travel specialist, I will listen to you and make professional recommendations based on the experience you want and personalize your travel package.

Let’s work together to create your cherished travel memories.
