Why We Travel

The top reason why we travel for most people is to explore new destinations and experience different cultures. This world of ours is massive and very diverse. Each destination has unique landmarks, architecture, natural wonders, local flavors, and different experiences. We vacation to surround ourselves with and experience all those unique things.

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” – said, Saint Augustine. You learn about the culture of the countries you visit. If you talk to locals, you will learn about their traditions and history. Experience things that you could never experience at home. You will see beautiful places and landscapes, meet new people, and your way of thinking may change. You may try activities that you have never tried before. After returning from a trip, you will definitely see the place you call home with new eyes.

A Romantic Getaway In Colorado

Located in southwestern Colorado at the foot of the San Juan Mountains, is one of my favorite places. The city of Durango is the perfect year-round destination. A combination of historical sites, natural attractions, and modern-day wonders, Durango is perfect for a romantic getaway in Colorado.

From the Animas River Valley to the peaks of the San Juan Mountains, adventure in Durango is everywhere. Enjoy 300 annual days of sunshine in the place known for ultimate mountain climbing, biking, skiing, fishing, and more. With access to Colorado’s largest wilderness area, Durango is perfect for outdoor romantic adventures.

Add on a few nights in some of Colorado’s other must-see places, we can plan your personalized itinerary to include; Boulder, Vail, Denver, Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Telluride, Breckenridge, Colorado Springs, and Rocky Mountain National Park just to name a few. My top recommended adventure in Durango is to take a ride on an old fashioned steam train from Durango to the old mining town of Silverton, to see amazing scenery along the way.

Romantic Trips In The U.S.

Restrictions are starting to be lifted for domestic travel, and couples are asking, “where is the best place to honeymoon or have a destination wedding in the U.S.?” There are many locations closer to home that offers everything you could want; amazing scenery, wonderful accommodations, lots of activities, and are easier to get to. Two recommendations for romantic trips in the U.S. are Utah & the Grand Canyon.

Moab, Utah

Canyonlands National Park – Canyonlands is the largest national park in Utah, and its diversity is beyond the imagination. The easiest way to see the park is with a visit to the Island in the Sky district. The Island in the Sky offers spectacular views along the scenic drive. Hiking trails and four-wheel-drive roads give you access to backcountry areas.

Arches National Park – contains the world’s largest concentration of natural sandstone arches. Although over 2,000 arches are located within the park, you will also gaze upon colossal sandstone fins, massive balanced rocks, soaring pinnacles, and spires.

Dead Horse Point – Dead Horse Point State Park is one of Utah’s most spectacular parks. The view from Dead Horse Point is one of the most photographed spots in the world. Towering 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, the overlook provides a breathtaking view for as far as you can see.

Grand Canyon

The Trail of Time – The Trail of Time is a walking timeline trail that focuses on the Grand Canyon views and rocks to guide you. Ponder, explore, and understand the magnitude of this amazing place.

Bike the South Rim – Bicycling is a great way to experience the South Rim. Cyclists will enjoy approximately 13 miles of roads and trails that allow for more intimate exploration along the rim.

Desert View Drive – The Desert View Drive is a scenic road from Grand Canyon Village. Along the way, there are viewpoints, a Tusayan Museum, and ancient Pueblo ruins.
