Traditional Bouquet Styles
  1. Round – The most well-known of the wedding bouquet styles, this timeless and classic style focuses on flowers over greenery. A timeless arrangement which works well for modern and traditional weddings. This style includes just a few types of flowers, but using one type of flower is the most effective to keep it symmetrical.
  2. Posy – A small compact arrangement that can be held in one hand. Their smaller size makes them a popular choice for your attendants and a perfect option for the bride who wants to show off her gown. A perfect choice for petite brides due to its compact size. This type of bouquet is often loose, and the flower stems tied together using ribbon or fabric.
  3. Nosegay – Nosegays are an elegant and classic bouquet style that dates back to the Victorian era. Blooms are cut to the same length, and mixed with greenery. With many variations and interpretations to choose from, the nosegay has always been a very popular choice. A great option for bridesmaids’ bouquets due to its size.

Relaxed & Modern

4. Hand-Tied – This style offers a relaxed unpolished quality for a natural wedding. Loosely bundled together, combining flower stems of varying lengths, colors, and textures tied with ribbon to achieve that just picked look. This type of bouquet is perfect for a rustic, garden or boho-inspired wedding.

5. Cascade –  This style features blooms spilling down from the center creating a waterfall effect, and finished with trailing ivy and fresh foliage. The cascade is very feminine, and invokes a fairy tale image; therefore a wonderful choice for a long flowing or princess style dress.

6. Biedermeier – Looking for something unique? A very unique bouquet made up of rings of flowers, each in a separate color. Options include using different types of flowers, or you can feature one type of flower in two or more colors.

7. Composite – A wonderful choice for a very modern wedding. It is constructed from the petals of several flowers which have been sewn, glued or wired together to create one over sized bloom. This style is elegant, and will definitely add some glamour to your wedding day. It can be quite expensive though, because of the skill it requires to make.

Things To Consider
  1. Time of year – choose flowers that are in season
  2. Location – choose flowers native to your wedding location or destination to help save on the cost
  3. Style – If your wedding is intimate & relaxed, choose a wedding bouquet style that reflects the same feeling. The type of wedding bouquet you choose should compliment your wedding style
  4. Is there a flower or flowers that hold a special symbolic meaning? Make sure to incorporate those in your bouquet

5 Destination wedding decorating tips that won’t break the bank

5 Simple destination wedding decorating tips that will save you money & personalize your wedding

  1.  Draw inspiration from your geographic location, or the type of music you like to listen to. Example, if you live in an area that is country, or if you really like country music, you can ask your guests attending your destination wedding to wear or bring with them cowboy boots and/or a cowboy hat. You can then use these items as the ‘vessel’ for your table centerpieces.
  2. The destination itself can offer ‘free’ items for inspiration & you can enlist the help of family & guests and have them involved in the decorating process. A beach location offers a perfect setting for gathering seashells to place in candle holders for enhancing that beach feel, and after your wedding the shells can be returned back to where you gathered them from. Recycled & reused with no waste
  3. When selecting flowers for your ceremony and reception, choose ones that are local to the destination. This will save you money.
  4. What is your color scheme? Ask the ladies attending to bring a sheer scarf in your primary color. These can then be used as an overlay on your tables, or fashioned together as a table runner.
  5. Ask each guest to bring a small votive candle, these can be used to decorate your tables and provide the ambiance you are looking for.

**You will need to check with your specific resort on their policies**
